Mobilization and Stabilization

Mobilization and Stabilization are very important to every athlete no matter the sport.  Every athlete is always looking for ways to get bigger faster and stronger.  Increasing mobilization means to be more flexible and have a greater range of motion.  Moving better and being flexible will most importantly decrease the risk of injury.  It will also allow you to move faster and quicker.  When we talk about stabilization, this is more strength.  Having stable muscles in general is strong muscles, but also very condition muscles.  This allows them to endure more and still be able to function.  One of the best exercises for mobilization and stabilization is bear crawls.  There is a proper form to the crawls as demonstrated in the picture, but this movement stabilizes your spine and pelvis while allowing your hips and shoulders to move and become more mobile.  This is just one of many movements that demonstrates the importance of mobilizing and stabilizing your body and will increase your athleticism and abilities in your sport.
